From the successful Big Brother, a spin-off containing celebrities was launched in March 2001 originally in aid of Comic Relief. The first series lasted a full week and raised over £500,000 for the charity. The eventual winner was comedian Jack Dee, followed closely by Brookside’s Claire Sweeney.

Series 7 – Show 4

Highlights are shown of the previous 24 hours of life in the house. It’s Vinnie’s birthday. Stephen tries to explain the extent of his faith in the bible. Jonas talks to the others about what life was like growing up with Tourette’s Syndrome. For today’s task the housemates have to pass various challenges to get numbers which Vinnie who is locked in a phone box has to dial into a phone.
